Airri McCoy launched Fillip Entertainment with his two brothers (Shaun and Michael: the McCoy Bros.) as a vehicle to Produce the highest quality of filmed entertainment, with a focus on harnessing stories that highlight the magic of the everyday human experience. He is committed to focusing on emotional stories that travel well across film, television, and digital formats. The common story thread in all greenlit projects is the plight of the underdog, and the ultimate redemption. The McCoys have garnered access to the life rights to some of America’s most iconic personalities and historic events. 2024 will see the launch of the feature film '68 – in partnership with Stacy and Billy Ray based on the human rights silent protest of the 1968 Mexico City Olympics. Billy Ray wrote a sensational script for this project. Airri is a UCLA graduate, and Los Angeles native. His seminal work “The Smallest River in Almirante” was a short film Executive Produced by Shia LeBouf in 2007.

Since then, he has garnered success wrangling options to compelling screenplays, book rights, and story rights from some of Hollywood’s burgeoning writers and icons. In addition to his creative film-making panache, Airri draws on business savvy having audited the UCLA film school curriculum. Access is the asset in the Fillip Ent. production model – sourcing and securing book and life rights. Airri hails from a family threaded with legacy figures, such as the Great Sugar Ray Robinson, who is his paternal great grandfather with a compelling pilot script in tow based on Sugar Ray's life. Dr. John Carlos is his Great Uncle which was the linchpin in securing an attractive film package for the '68 film. Airri's tutelage as a filmmaker has been inherently bred from family beginnings. He intends to continue this legacy through success at the box office, and beyond other OTT platforms. Fillip Entertainment’s distinct mission is to bring a resurgence to Hollywood of the magic of the everyday human experience. In addition to film, Airri lives at the cross-section of 'Spielberg and Bezos' as a serial entrepreneur, who appreciates entertainment as much as technology. Airri is a partner in two tech companies (Central On and Pūrtec), and a marketing company called Blind Barrels, which helps small American family-owned distilleries market their hard-to-find craft whiskies. Airri McCoy's personal ethos is: the global currency for success is generosity.
